Wunder Mobility expands Series B financing to USD 60 million

Hamburg-based start-up gets around USD 30 million for product expansion and U.S. market entry

Wunder Mobility has sealed USD 60 million (EUR 54 million) in a Series B round of financing after the venture capitalist Blumberg Capital and KCK invested around USD 30 million (EUR 27 million) in the company, Gründerszene reported Thursday (September 19, 2019). “The fresh capital will allow us to strengthen our position as a leading international technology provider for new mobility concepts and to accelerate the transition to more sustainable mobility with cities, companies and start-ups,” said Gunnar Froh, founder and CEO of Wunder Mobility.

New products – Wunder City and Wunder Park

Companies, cities and communities can implement sustainable and easily accessible mobility concepts using Wunder Mobility’s technology. This year, the start-up launched its new Wunder City, which does the digital documentation, analysis and planning of new mobility services in Hamburg, and Wunder Park, which helps companies and cities optimize their use of parking space.

Launch on U.S. market

The fresh capital will allow the company to launch Wunder Rent, which targets car rental companies that want to digitalise their business. Plans are also being laid to expand the team to 200 employees and to launch a branch in Los Angeles to enter the U.S. market.
